Ashtapad Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Ashtapad Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a deeply spiritual and unforgettable pilgrimage that takes devotees through the sacred landscapes of Nepal and Tibet, offering a rare opportunity to experience the divine presence of Mount Kailash and the holy Manasarovar Lake. The journey begins from Lucknow and continues through Nepalgunj and Simikot before entering Tibet via Hilsa and Taklakot. After acclimatization, pilgrims travel to the sacred Manasarovar Lake, perform puja and rituals, and witness the magnificent views of Mount Kailash and Gurla Mandhata. The highlight of the journey is the three-day Kailash Parikrama, beginning from Yama Dwar and passing through Dirapuk, the challenging Dolma La Pass at 5,700 metres, and Zuthulpuk before returning to Darchen. Along the way, devotees experience breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, sacred sites such as Gaurikund, and the spiritually significant Ashtapad region. This 8 Nights / 9 Days pilgrimage combines devotion, adventure, breathtaking mountain scenery, and profound spiritual experiences, making it a truly memorable journey to one of the most revered destinations in the world.
Itinerary
* On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax.
* Depending on the situation, you may continue your journey to Surkhet (approximately 2 hours) and stay overnight there.
* Meals: Dinner at the hotel
* Overnight: Hotel Sneha or Similar
* Upon arrival, spend the day at Simikot for rest and acclimatization.
* Enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful surroundings of this mountain town.
* Meals: Breakfast at Nepalgunj/Simikot, Lunch at Hilsa, Dinner at Taklakot
* Overnight: Hotel New Potala Palace or Similar
* In the afternoon, drive from Hilsa to Taklakot (27 km) via the Purang border.
* The route includes up to three checkpoints, where security procedures may take around an hour at each stop.
* Upon reaching Taklakot, check in to your hotel and relax for the night.
* Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
* Overnight: Hotel Himalaya, New Purang, Riverside, or Similar
* Relax and prepare for the upcoming journey to Kailash.
* You may explore the nearby market or simply rest at the hotel.

* En route, pass through the first checkpoint. After driving 70 km from Taklakot, you’ll arrive at the stunning Rakshas Tal, from where you can witness the majestic Gurla Mandhata Parvat and get your first view of Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake.
* Continue your journey from Rakshas Tal to Manasarovar Lake (25 km).
* Upon arrival, begin the Parikrama (circumambulation) of Manasarovar Lake by bus (approximately 90 km / 3 hours) and perform Puja and rituals by the sacred lake.
* Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
* Overnight: Manasarovar Lake Side Mud House
* From here, begin your trek to Dirapuk (14 km), which offers breathtaking views of the North Face of Mount Kailash. Devotees can perform Charan Sparsha (touching the feet of Mt. Kailash) for blessings.
* Those who choose not to participate in the Parikrama can return to Darchen and stay there, awaiting the group’s return.
* Meals: Breakfast at Manasarovar, Lunch & Dinner during Parikrama
* strong>Note: If you are not doing Parikrama, you will stay at Darchen (4,650m).
* Overnight: Dormitory Guest House
* After walking for about 2–3 hours, you’ll reach Phedi for a short rest before continuing your trek to Zuthulpuk (12 km – approximately 6 hours).
* Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
* Note: Those not participating in the Parikrama will remain at Darchen (4,650m) and wait for the rest of the group to return.
* Overnight: Mud House at Zuthulpuk
* From there, drive to Darchen (3 km) and reunite with the group members who stayed behind.
* Later, continue your drive to Hilsa via Taklakot. Depending on the situation, a helicopter transfer to Simikot may also be arranged.
* Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
* Overnight: Guest House at Hilsa or Simikot
* Upon arrival, proceed with your drive back to Lucknow, marking the end of your sacred journey.
* Meals: Breakfast at Simikot
